Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate

Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery

to join a highly respected healthcare facility in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. The hospital is nationally recognized for its excellence in patient satisfaction and is a Joint Commission-accredited Critical Access Hospital. This role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional maternal and newborn care in a supportive and patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. Monitor and assess maternal and fetal conditions, ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication with the healthcare team. Collaborate closely with obstetricians, midwives, and multidisciplinary staff to support patient birth plans and ensure safe outcomes. Administer medications, assist during Cesarean sections, and provide postpartum education to mothers and families. Maintain adherence to hospital policies, infection control procedures, and patient safety protocols.

Qualifications

Active

Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License

- Required

BLS (Basic Life Support)

- American Heart Association, Required

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

- Required

STABLE Certification

- Preferred Minimum

2 years of current Labor & Delivery experience

- Required

Postpartum/Mother-Baby experience

- Required

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)

- Required Must have a

valid driver's license

and reliable transportation

Additional Information

Travelers must reside

50 miles or more

from the facility to qualify. All

RTO (Requested Time Off)

must be submitted at the time of application. Must be available to work

every other weekend and holidays as needed.

On-call duties

may apply.

8-hour non-billable orientation

required prior to start.
