Are you an experienced ICU nurse looking to take on a leadership role? Saint Alphonsus Health System in Nampa, Idaho is seeking a dedicated and compassionate ICU RN Supervisor to join our dynamic team. As an ICU RN Supervisor, you will oversee the nursing staff and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care in our intensive care unit. This position will be located at our Medical Center at the corner of I-84 and Garrity Boulevard. The schedule for this position will be discussed during the interview process.

As a RN Supervisor working in the ICU in Nampa you will:

Play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the care of trauma patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of medical attention and support.

Lead and inspire a team of dedicated nurses, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.

Assist the Nurse Manager in overseeing department operations, responsible for shift operations, quality of care, staffing, program development and evaluations and medical staff relations.

Collaborate with the Nurse Manager and QA representative to facilitate the interdisciplinary quality assurance program for nursing service delivery and overview of Quality and Safety initiatives.

Plan, assign and monitor work of staff.

Participate in supervisory duties including hiring, salary review, competency assessments, staff development, and counseling of employees.

Consistently perform the essential functions of a Registered Nurse in the unit and assist the nursing staff with patient care as needed.

Serve as a role model for nursing staff; maintain a current knowledge base of unit-specific nursing theory and skills.

Plan and/or participate in specific orientation of new employees including coordination of preceptors.

Serve as a mentor to new charge nurses.

Participate in development & review of policies and procedures and ensures they are reviewed, revised, and implemented in appropriate time frames.

Review patient grievances and incident (VOICE) reports.

Attend meetings and represent the Nurse Manager in his/her absence.

Facilitate communication between patients and families and their physicians, care givers, and other health team members.

What you will need to start work with us:

Idaho RN License

Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of nursing leadership and supervision as normally obtained through a bachelor\'s degree in nursing with three years of RN experience in acute care or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network

Must have ACLS within 6 months of hire

Prior cardiac experience is preferred

Prior critical care experience is preferred

Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
