RN Hospice Clinical Supervisor

An RN Hospice Clinical Supervisor is a leadership position that oversees the clinical operations of a hospice program, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities include supervising clinical staff, coordinating patient care plans with the interdisciplinary team, managing admissions and case referrals, ensuring regulatory compliance, and serving as a liaison between patients, families, and physicians.

Position Responsibilities:

Clinical Supervision:

Managing, guiding, and supporting nursing and caregiving staff to ensure quality care delivery.

Patient Care Coordination:

Overseeing patient admissions, developing, and implementing care plans, and coordinating services with the interdisciplinary team.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensuring that the hospice program adheres to all federal, state, and local regulations.

Staff Development:

Training, mentoring, and evaluating staff performance, and participating in hiring decisions.

Operational Management:

Analyzing operational indicators to manage census changes and staffing levels and assisting with budget planning.

Communication:

Serving as a key point of contact for patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers.

Problem-Solving:

Investigating and resolving patient, family, and staff concerns and addressing operational challenges.

Record Management:

Ensuring accurate and timely completion of patient documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

An active nursing license.*

Prior clinical experience in a hospice or home health setting.*
Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a clinical setting. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $87,000.00 - $97,000.00 per year
