Required Skills and Qualifications:

1+ years' nursing experience, preferably in a acute care facility; home health experience a plus

Associates in Nursing required

Must possess the knowledge of clinical, psychosocial, and patho/ physiological theories related to nursing diagnosis and treatment and can competently perform the range of nursing techniques found in general nursing practice, as normally acquired through completion of an accredited nursing program.

Willingness to work a flexible schedule and to fill in when needed

Excellent bedside manner and communication skills

Ability to explain treatments and conditions to the elderly population

Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations

Applicant must have reliable transportation

Duties and Responsibilities:

Verify medications, and render treatment to patients as ordered by Physician

Communicate with physicians, LPNs, Case managers and other medical professionals

Collaborate with all disciplines as needed to create a Plan of Care for each patient

contribute to patients' medical records as needed- Timely documentation is essential

Respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints from patients and their parents or guardians

Counsel patients and family members before, during and after treatment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
