Registered Nurse

to lead and provide professional nursing care during the overnight shift in our long-term care setting. This key leadership role involves utilizing the

nursing process

(assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to ensure

individualized, comprehensive care

for residents across all ages and phases of health. You will actively collaborate with inter-disciplinary colleagues and uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and practice.

Key Responsibilities

Nursing Process Mastery:

Expertly utilize the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care, including preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment for residents.

Collaboration and Planning:

Plan, implement, and evaluate care by effectively collaborating with residents, their families, providers, and other members of the inter-disciplinary team.

Clinical Excellence:

Demonstrate professional competency, practicing within the full scope of nursing expertise and knowledge, and applying appropriate age and population-specific standards for assigned residents.

Care Leadership:

Coordinate care, conduct thorough resident assessments, provide essential resident education, and implement various other critical nursing interventions.

Charge Nurse Function:

May serve as the charge nurse, competently

delegating appropriate tasks

to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel based on their job descriptions, skills, resident care needs, and verified competency levels.

Support and Supervision:

Provide adequate assistance and support to delegated staff to ensure the safe, reliable administration of resident care and the swift resolution of any care or service concerns.

Professional Compliance:

Function strictly within the

scopes and standards of nursing practice

as defined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure, recognizing the American Nurses Association's guidelines as the foundation for professional conduct.
Requirements

License:

Currently holds an

unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license

with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possesses multi-state licensure privileges if practicing in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.

Competency:

Obtain and consistently maintain all required department-specific competencies and certifications.

Shift Availability:

Must be available for

12-hour Night Shifts

(typically 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM) and be prepared for

rotating weekend and holiday schedules

.
Preferred Qualifications

Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA). Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).

$32.00 - $48.00
