Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is the flagship hospital of Community Medical Centers - a not-for-profit healthcare system based in Fresno, California, and the largest healthcare provider and private employer in central California. Responsibilities:

Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is adding additional positions to the Registered Nurse Float Team. Our focus is to deliver high quality patient care throughout CMC on diverse Units such as Med Surg, Ortho, Cardiac, Pediatrics, Rehab, Neuro, ED, Burn, Progressive Care and ICU . The Float Team conducts patient focused care through excellent critical thinking, communication, clinical judgment and collaboration as a member of the multidisciplinary team. The role is conducive to individuals who are easily adaptable, enjoy life-long learning, and excel in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you will be prepared to float to any department where you have achieved validated competency. The Float Team ensures your competency by providing education throughout the year in areas such as emergency, progressive care, critical care, and med/surg. Your assignments will change on a daily basis to promote learning and foster diversity in your nursing skill set. Float Team scheduling remains flexible to promote higher education achievement and an optimal work-life balance. Qualifications:

Education

  • Graduate of approved nursing program required
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Nursing preferred
Experience
  • Consistent demonstration of Novice / Advance Beginner clinical nursing practice proficiency required
Licenses and Certifications
  • RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer into job for the following departments: 04-87301 Centralized Flex Staffing, 01-87300 Nurse Float-PR Only. Clovis: 02-87300 Nurse Float-PR Only.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire or transfer into job for the following departments: 01-60500 PICU Pediatric ICU, 01-61100 Burn Center, 01-62900 Pediatric, 01-70100 ED, 01-74270 PACU, 01-74300 Short Stay Surgery, 01-73900 Burn Therapy, 01-76400 Radiography Therapeutic, 01-77610 Endoscopy (except for nurses in pre-admission testing). National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale Course must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer into job for the following departments: 04-87301 Centralized Flex Staffing, 01-60100 4ICU Medical, 01-60101 5ICU Trauma, 01-60102 Neuroscience ICU, 01-61704 Neuroscience 9W, 01-61780 ICU Stepdown(PCU), 01-70100 ED, 01-87300 Nurse Float-PR Only. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer into job for the following departments: 01-60500 PICU, 01-60700 NICU, 01-62900 Pediatric, 01-63800 Obstetrics, 01-65320 Newborn Nursery, 01-74000 Labor & Delivery, 01-74003 Antepartum, 01-74004 OB Triage. Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer into job for the following departments: 01-61730 Oncology.

Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) by the National Certification Corporation (NCC) must be obtained within 1 year of hire or transfer into job for the following departments (exceptions may apply, refer to Policy #10925): 01-74000 Labor & Delivery, 01-74003 Antepartum, 01-74004 OB Triage.
