o Beds: 34 beds/32 vertical care areas
o Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years ED RN experience
o Will you accept a first-time traveler: not preferred, will consider
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o This ED sees on average 200+ patients per day very busy, fast paced, acute unit
o All ages
o Heavy trauma stabilization - GSW, stabbings; Heavy mental health/homeless/drug and ETOH addicted population
o All typical ED diagnoses Stroke, Respiratory illness, chest pain, abdominal pain, DM/DKA, etc.

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

Skills required:
o To care for adult and pediatric patients experiencing medical emergencies
o General ED Skillset to include but not limited to

Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with critical care drips, PIV starts, TNK/TPA administration, conscious sedation
Support within the Department:

Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: EPIC
o IV Pump: Alaris
o Med dispensing: Omnicell
o Monitors: Phillips
Floating:
o
Will be required to float per region needs will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice DECLINE if not agreeable

Region 1 -
Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, any Freestanding ED within Region, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH)
o If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)
Orientation

Scheduling:
o Weekend rotation: every other
o No call required
o Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
o RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
o Shift times: varies shift will be on requisition
o Schedule cycle: 6 weeks
