This is a PRN position (1-2 days a week as needed)
Must be willing to float to Conyers and Covington clinic locations
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide evaluation, observation and treatment of patients. Review the patient's chart. Maintain accurate documentation. Administer IV conscious sedation, per policy and physician's orders. Communicate important information to patients, patient's family and staff. Assist with emergencies in the operating room, as per policy. Assist with orientation of new personnel. Perform chart audits for the surgical center. Work closely with physicians to optimize documentation and explain pre-procedure/discharge instructions Assist with post-operative calls, as required Document and maintain appropriate workflow in patient's electronic medical records Other duties may be assigned
Education and/or Experience:
Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program Must have current GA nursing license, BLS, ACLS and other required training * Knowledge of equipment, instrumentation and supplies required to perform specific responsibilities
