Outerknown is looking for a Part-Time Key Leader to join the team and help us expand into brick & mortar retail. This is a pivotal role in the company and will involve providing optimum level customer service and styling, maximizing personal sales at all opportunities, and maintaining a friendly and welcoming environment for our clients.

As an Assistant Leader you will have the opportunity to lead and inspire a team of Sales Specialist to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business goals. You will work closely with the team to provide coaching and feedback while promoting an unrivaled client first culture

In this role Assistant\'s are Brand Ambassadors for Outerknown, and will:

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

• Collaborate with Store Leader and the Associate Store Leader to ensure all Operations, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, policy and procedure is being adhered to
• Support and maintain visual merchandising standards set by HQ and leadership team
• Maintain full organization of the back of house and front of house per standards
• Lead and inspire your team to provide exceptional customer service
• Build and cultivate client relationships by engaging them and utilizing our brand history
• Guide your team to be effective in clienteling
• Support and initiate company-driven local events and
• Share knowledge and strategies around product launches

• Maximize personal sales at all opportunities by wardrobe styling
• Display expert knowledge of the product, company history, company policy, and store/company strategies
• Adhere to the availability and scheduling needs of the business.
• Perform POS transactions accurately and efficiently and follow all cash handling procedures.
• Embraces the opportunity to attend and/or initiate events outside the four walls of our stores to showcase the brand and either operate a short-lived pop-up shop or host an event like a beach cleanup
• Achieve all personal store sales goals through implementing an unrivaled selling ceremony, and assisting in accountability conversations

QUALIFICATIONS

• Outgoing personality that can interact openly with others
• Demonstrated ability to achieve individual selling goals and metrics
• Customer Service experience required
• Demonstrated sales accountability
• Strong personal leadership skills and desire to succeed
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
• Skilled at delivering thoughtful and appropriate positive and developmental feedback.
• Seeks feedback from business partners and cultivates an environment that encourages open conversation around opportunities to personally develop
• Ability to work in a team environment with peers and supervisors
• Ability to receive feedback from management and peers
• Genuinely values a circular fashion economy, sustainability, and the importance of fair labor standards.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years of experience in retail leadership
• Strong styling capabilities with an eye for current fashion and trends
• Exemplary communication and customer service skills
• Excellent time management skills and a sense of urgency
• Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands
• Goal-oriented: the ability to stay focused on creating winning results

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES

• Ability to work a flex schedule (which includes nights, weekends, and holiday availability)
• Ability to lift at least 20 lbs
• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods at a time
• Ability to travel (auto/airplane/train) and attend HQ meetings
• Ability to travel (auto/airplane/train), visit stores, and attend HQ meetings

The position will be based in our store in the Stanford Shopping Mall in Palo Alto, CA.
