Job Description

Position Summary:

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Associate to join our team at Snow Hill Wine & Spirits. This role is key to creating a positive shopping experience, maintaining store standards, and supporting daily operations. Ideal candidates enjoy helping customers, have strong attention to detail, and are comfortable learning about wines, spirits, and beer.

Key Responsibilities:-

Customer Service

Greet customers warmly and offer assistance. Recommend products based on customer taste, needs, or budget. Answer questions about wine, spirits, beer, mixers, and store promotions. Provide excellent checkout service with accuracy and speed.
Store Operations

Operate POS system for sales, returns, and inventory lookups. Restock shelves, coolers, end-caps, and displays throughout the shift. Maintain clean aisles, counters, and work areas. Ensure accurate pricing and shelf tags. Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
Product Knowledge

Learn about major liquor categories, top brands, and store favorites. Stay up-to-date on new arrivals, promotions, and seasonal items. Participate in product tastings to better assist customers.
Merchandising

Build neat, eye-catching displays. Rotate stock (FIFO) and check for damaged or expired items. Help prepare for holidays, events, and tastings.
Compliance & Safety

Check valid IDs for all alcohol sales following Tennessee state law. Maintain age-restricted sales accuracy and follow store policies. Keep storeroom organized and follow safe lifting procedures.
Qualifications

Positive attitude and strong communication skills. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs repeatedly. Comfortable working morning,evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Retail or customer service experience preferred but not required.
Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
