Duties

Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience Assist customers in selecting products by understanding their needs and offering tailored recommendations Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to encourage informed purchasing decisions Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash handling, credit card transactions, and receipts Upsell relevant products or accessories to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a customer-focused approach Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stock replenishment efforts Stock shelves, organize back stock, and ensure the sales floor is clean, safe, and inviting Manage inventory levels by conducting regular stock checks and assisting with inventory audits Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing product information or directing calls appropriately Perform basic math calculations for transactions, discounts, or pricing adjustments Assist with grocery store operations if applicable, including scanning items and ensuring proper checkout procedures Support team members with supervising experience by collaborating effectively and maintaining a positive store environment Demonstrate strong communication skills to connect with diverse customers, including bilingual interactions when needed

Experience

Prior retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and cash handling practices is a plus Experience in merchandising, stocking, or grocery store environments enhances your fit for this role Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service in fast-paced settings Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team Strong communication skills--bilingual abilities are highly valued--help you connect effectively with a diverse customer base Basic math skills are essential for accurate transactions and inventory management

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
