Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling cash transactions and providing accurate change. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales. Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, helping customers make informed purchasing decisions. Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring products are well-presented. Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations. Utilize basic math skills for retail math calculations, ensuring accurate pricing and inventory management. Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or taking orders over the phone. Foster a positive shopping environment through effective communication and outstanding customer service.

Experience

Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic cashiering skills is essential.
