To describe the duties of the Golf Shop Attendant who is responsible for giving the highest customer service and maintaining the golf shop in an appealing manner. Responsibilities:
General Duties:
- Enthusiastic greeting of customers (by name if possible)
- Display conduct in an appropriate manner always in accordance with the Omni Hotels and the PGA of America
- Working knowledge of operation (36 holes, practice facility, etc.)
- Render professional advice, opinions, assistance, and services as required.
- Perform duties and meet requirements for sales, rentals, tournament golf leagues, and services which the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, and Assistant Professionals deems necessary.
- Book starting reservations
- Promote the interests of the resort in providing service to the guest.
- Assist in presentation of golf shop
- Assist Merchandise Manager with any inventory counts.
- Maintain and balance daily cash register.
- Provide a customer friendly environment.
- Ability to answer any questions related to resort.
- Handle registration of players.
Tools and Equipment:
- Computer and printer, telephone, photocopying machine, radio, log book, file folders, file cabinet, and facsimile machine.
Working Environment:
- Interior of Golf shop, in normal office conditions, mainly behind the counter, with limited travel to the hotel.
