Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist with product demonstrations, manage inventory, and contribute to the overall success of our retail operations.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling. Provide product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and maximize sales. Maintain visual merchandising standards to create an appealing shopping environment. Stock shelves and ensure that products are organized and readily available for customers. Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support in their roles. Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Utilize basic math skills for accurate transactions and retail math calculations. Foster a positive team environment through effective communication skills.

Skills

Proven experience in retail sales with a strong understanding of customer service principles. Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures. Ability to demonstrate products effectively and engage customers through product demos. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer groups. Experience in merchandising and stocking practices within a grocery store or similar retail environment. Strong supervisory experience is beneficial for leading team members effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members seamlessly.
