Sodexo is seeking a Retail Manager - Campus Dining for St. Ambrose University located in Davenport, IA. St. Ambrose University is a part of the Quad Cities \xe2\x80\x93 a bi-state (Iowa and Illinois) metropolitan area situated on the only major stretch of the Mississippi River that runs from east to west. The university resident dinning serves 1600 students as well as food court, coffee shop and conference center.

This individual will lead daily retail and catering operations on the campus. The Manager will be responsible for all aspects of campus catering from coordinating event details with the client to event execution. Events can range in size from small coffee service to large dinner parties, receptions, fundraisers, orientations, picnics and upscale functions. The Manager will also be responsible for food quality and execution in the Food Court.

The ideal candidate will have: hands-on college/university catering supervision experience along with training and leading all types of catering and banquet events \xe2\x80\x93 excellent client relation and service skills.

The successful candidate will:

• lead frontline teams, mentoring them in accurate cash handling, operations, open and closing processes; and/or
• train and manage department HACCP Safety Programs, Sodexo programs and daily operation standards.

Position Summary

Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly & supervisory food service workers.
Key Duties
- Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.
- Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.
- Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.
- Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.
- Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.
- Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
