We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Retail Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our grocery store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of associates. Responsibilities

Supervise and train retail staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies. Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Manage cash handling procedures, including operating the cash register and ensuring accurate transactions. Market store promotions and products effectively to drive sales and enhance customer engagement. Communicate regularly with team members to foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork. Assist in budgeting processes by monitoring expenses and inventory levels to optimize profitability. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store to provide a welcoming atmosphere for customers. Collaborate with management to implement strategies that improve store operations and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably within a grocery store setting. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, both verbal and written. Proven ability to market products and sell effectively while maintaining customer satisfaction. Proficient in cash handling procedures with experience operating cash registers. Strong customer service orientation with a focus on meeting customer needs. Basic knowledge of budgeting principles is preferred but not required.
