Job Title: Retail Assistant Manager

As a Retail Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our store while ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. You will lead by example, motivating your team to achieve sales goals and maintain high standards of customer service. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a positive work environment, enhancing team performance, and managing daily operations effectively.

What you'll do

Supervise and support retail staff, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills. Manage inventory control processes, ensuring stock levels are maintained and organized. Oversee cash handling procedures, including cashier management and payroll processing. Implement merchandising strategies to optimize product presentation and drive sales. Engage with customers to deliver outstanding service and resolve any issues that arise. Conduct employee orientation and recruitment processes to build a strong team. Utilize retail math for pricing strategies and sales management to maximize profitability. Collaborate with upper management on budgeting and financial planning for the store.

Basic qualifications

Proven experience in retail management or as an assistant manager. Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.

Preferred qualifications

Bilingual or multilingual capabilities to enhance customer interactions. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail software. Background in bookkeeping or administrative tasks related to retail operations.
