About the Role

Habitat for Humanity Greater Peoria Area is seeking a motivated, hands-on team member for our ReStore. This position combines customer service, light operations, and occasional warehouse support. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about serving others, comfortable pitching in where needed, and eager to learn the full scope of ReStore operations. This role offers opportunities for professional growth within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service: greet donors/shoppers, answer questions, and create a welcoming environment Operate the cash register: accurately process sales, handle payments, and maintain confidentiality with customer/donor information Assist with donation intake and stocking merchandise on the sales floor Maintain store appearance: ensure sales floor, restrooms, and cashier areas are clean, organized, and safe Occasionally provide backup support to the warehouse team during large donation drop-offs, staff absences, or other peak times (may include lifting/moving items up to 50 lbs and assisting customers with loading/unloading) Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers, modeling professionalism and a positive attitude

Skills & Qualifications

Retail, warehouse, or customer service experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with diverse groups of people Basic computer and math skills Ability to stand/walk for long periods Dependable, flexible, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
