Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled Present menus confidently, highlight daily specials, and upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales Serve food and beverages efficiently, maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards at all times Manage tables effectively by bussing, resetting, and ensuring cleanliness to promote a smooth flow of service Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering procedures and process payments with POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and food preparation techniques to answer guest questions confidently Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly Uphold food safety regulations and sanitation standards in all aspects of serving and food handling Assist with host/host duties when needed, including seating guests and managing reservations Support the team during busy hours by multitasking efficiently, demonstrating excellent time management skills Engage with guests to foster positive relations, ensuring a memorable dining experience that encourages repeat visits

Qualifications

Previous restaurant experience, particularly in Japanese or fine dining establishments, is highly preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is a plus Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest engagement Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and bill splitting Experience in serving, bussing tables, or host/host roles enhances your candidacy Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous for understanding food preparation processes Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $23.26 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week
