We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service within the restaurant. A passion for hospitality and excellent customer service skills are essential to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables
Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize seating arrangements
Provide menus and inform guests about specials or promotions
Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area
Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service
Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy
Assist in training new staff members on host/host duties as needed
Utilize POS Skytab for order entry when required
Qualifications
Previous host/host or restaurant experience preferred
Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Familiarity with food service operations and hospitality standards
Experience with POS systems is a plus
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong phone etiquette for handling reservations and guest inquiries
A background in hotel services or guest services is beneficial
