CANDIDATE MUST BE AVAILABLE DURING WINTER AND SUMMER

Award winning restaurant is looking for a new addition to our host team.

Provide timely, accurate and hospitable service while welcoming and warmly greeting guests. Each Host/Hostess' primary objective is to create a welcoming and memorable experience for our guests.

Job Duties Primary include but not limited to:



o Promote,work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of

Hakuna Hospitality



o Maintains a cheerful, courteous disposition and a neat, clean and professional image

o Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival

o When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant

o When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in the party and provide guests with an estimated wait time. (Using the Open TableSystem)

o Maintain wait list and coordinate seating while on a wait list in conjunction with the reservations list, using the open table system.

o Escort guests to the designated table by rotation as soon a possible, present menus to each guest once they are seated.

o Engage in a friendly running dialogue while walking the guest to their table.

o Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.

o Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.

o Effectively communicates guests' needs to servers, bartenders, expo and managers as needed.

o Notifies managers of any guest that is perceived to be unhappy.

o BidsFarewell and thanks guests as they leave. Ensures everything was satisfactory and invites guest to return

o Answers the phone within 2 rings and uses the appropriate phone greeting.

o Follows all company approved carry out procedures

o Keeps foyer, host/hostess station clean and well organized. Ensures all menus are clean, restocks necessary supplies and brings all areas up to standards.

o Responds calmly to all guests and notifies restaurant manager of situation.

o Performs shift change and/or closing duties

o Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objective of position.

o Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness

o Is dressed neatly and well groomed in company approved uniform at all times

Helps to clean and reset tables

Helps to run food from the kitchen to guests sitting at tables

o Provides a favorable image of the company at all times to promote its aims and objectives

o Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.

o Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant.

Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
