Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements Manage walk-in groups and waitlists efficiently Answer phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, providing accurate information about the restaurant's services and wait times Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entrance Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service Handle guest concerns or special requests promptly to ensure guest satisfaction Monitor dining room occupancy and manage guest flow during peak hours Assist with other guest services as needed to enhance overall guest experience

Skills

Previous host/host experience preferred, especially within food service or restaurant environments Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal interactions Familiarity with restaurant POS systems, such as Square POS, is a plus Experience in hotel or guest services can be advantageous Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and friendly demeanor Knowledge of serving protocols and hospitality standards is beneficial
