We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Host to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable dining experience from the moment they arrive. Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly as they arrive, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
Manage reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring accurate seating arrangements.
Escort guests to their tables promptly and assist with any special requests or accommodations.
Maintain waitlists during busy hours, updating guests on wait times and seating availability.
Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize table turnover and service flow.
Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, handling inquiries and reservation requests effectively.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the host stand area at all times.
Handle guest concerns or complaints with professionalism, aiming for swift resolution and guest satisfaction.
Support guest relations by providing information about menu items, specials, or restaurant policies as needed.
Assist in training new team members on reservation procedures and guest service standards.
Experience
Prior experience as a Host/Host in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred.
Strong background in customer service, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a welcoming attitude.
Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
Knowledge of hotel or hospitality industry standards can be a plus, especially related to guest services and guest relations.
Familiarity with serving protocols, phone etiquette, and guest engagement techniques is beneficial.
