HOST/HOSTESS
Johnny's Italian Steakhouse in Altoona, IA. is currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented HOST for daytime hours Monday thru Friday 11:00am to 2:00pm. In the HOST position, the right candidate will move up quickly, if desired, with hard work and commitment. We are a busy, fun, and active restaurant and we are looking for people to help us keep our standards of excellence. We are eager to talk to anyone who has an incredibly outgoing personality. All members of the staff receive half off food as well and the HOST position starts at $12 per hour.
Responsibilities:
-Greeting guests and managing a wait list as necessary
-Providing guests with menus, and answering any initial questions
-Seating guests and keeping table rotation in mind, so servers receive the proper amount of tables at one time
-Answering phone calls, taking, plotting and setting up any reservations
-Assisting other areas of the restaurant as needed
-Providing excellent customer service
