Responsibilities

Greet guests promptly and warmly as they arrive, establishing a friendly and professional first impression Manage reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and coordinate seating to optimize flow and guest satisfaction Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times clearly to guests Assist guests with seating arrangements, special requests, and provide menus with enthusiasm Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, providing information about wait times or reservations as needed Collaborate closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth table turnover and guest satisfaction Monitor dining area to uphold cleanliness, comfort, and safety standards throughout service hours Handle guest inquiries or concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent guest relations skills Support the team during busy periods by assisting with guest services or light hospitality duties as required

Skills

Proven experience as a Host/Host or in food service hospitality roles Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; hotel experience is a plus Knowledge of food service procedures and restaurant operations Exceptional phone etiquette and ability to handle guest inquiries professionally Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude Strong guest relations skills, ensuring each visitor feels welcomed and appreciated Experience in serving or hotel guest services is advantageous but not required Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
