Summary
Tempe Mission Palms is seeking a passionate and experienced Restaurant Chef to lead our culinary team during the PM shift (typically 1 pm - 10 pm). This is a dynamic salaried opportunity to oversee the kitchen operations for Harry's Place, In-Room Dining, and stewarding. This position ensures exceptional quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
Salary position, open availability during week/weekend for evening hours 1 pm - 10 pm.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assume the role of liaison between Harry's Place, Stewarding, and In Room Dining operations and culinary staff
Supervise the preparation and cooking of various food items
Manage hourly kitchen employees through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating and hiring
May manage other key culinary leadership rolls including supervisor and other less senior Sous Chefs
Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results
Monitor food production, ordering, cost, and quality and consistency on a daily basis
Qualifications
In-depth skills and knowledge of all kitchen operations
Possess strong leadership, communication, organization and relationship skills
Experience with training, basic financial management and customer service
Proficient in general computer knowledge
Capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner
Strong training and communication skills
Culinary education and/or on the job training, independent restaurant experience is preferred
Expediting experience and menu writing skills preferred
Open availability for all days of the week and 1PM - 10PM shifts
