Well-established Monterey restaurant & bar, Nami Seafood & Steakhouse, is hiring a professional

Part-Time Bar Security

guard to ensure a safe, controlled, and welcoming environment during Friday & Saturday late-night service. Ideal for experienced security professionals seeking consistent weekend hours. In this vital role, you will oversee the safety and security of the restaurants late nights, monitor activities, and respond swiftly to any incidents. Your proactive approach will help maintain a lively yet secure atmosphere that encourages guests to relax and enjoy their experience to the fullest.

Responsibilities

Maintain safety and order in bar and dining areas Proactively monitor guests and identify potential issues Professionally de-escalate conflicts when necessary Verify IDs and enforce alcohol and house policies Support staff during closing procedures Document and report incidents to management

Skills

Approximately

1 year of security, bar, nightclub, or hospitality experience

preferred Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure Guard Card required or needs to be obtained (must obtain within 7 of hire) Familiarity with security protocols, access control procedures, and emergency response plans Calm, professional demeanor in fast-paced environments Excellent observational skills combined with the ability to assess situations quickly and decisively Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Background in law enforcement, military service, or security training is highly advantageous

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
