Child Respite Provider

We are searching for a reliable, experienced Child Respite Provider to spend time with an active little boy with special needs. The ideal provider will be motivated, energetic, patient, and positive while engaging the child in meaningful and enjoyable activities. Respite will take place in the boy's home, in the community and potentially in the provider's home after a relationship has been established.

This boy enjoys

: Going to the park, walks, toy cars, stuffed animals, coloring, play dough, TV on for background noise, (He doesn't always watch it, but does have some favorites shows that he will want to watch on repeat.

Location

: Green Bay, WI

Wage

: $10.60 per hour

Schedule

: 20 to 25 hours per month
Shifts to occur on Saturdays or Sundays with 9am start times.
Schedule development to be discussed with family.

Responsibilities:

Companionship & Supervision Community outings: accompany the child to the park, walks around the block Meal Prep/Snack assistance Toileting assistance: wiping/cleansing/changing pull up Transitions: needs cues and reminders/warnings given before the end of an activity/task to make easier transition to new a new one.

Qualifications:

Age 18 or older at the start of employment Valid Driver's License, Reliable Vehicle, and auto insurance Willing to take the child out into the community in your vehicle Willing to undergo a caregiver background check
