CRT only $35-42.00/hr DOE (must obtain RRT within 1 year of hire)
RRT $40.00-$48.00/hr DOE
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments focusing on respiratory status, vital signs, and physiological parameters to determine appropriate interventions.
Administer and monitor respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, nebulization, airway management procedures, and ventilator support tailored to individual patient needs.
Manage and troubleshoot ventilator systems ensuring optimal functioning for critically ill patients or emergency settings.
Assist with airway management techniques such as intubation and suctioning to secure airways and maintain patient safety during acute episodes.
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Maintain detailed documentation of treatments provided, patient responses, medication administration, and vital signs in compliance with hospital protocols.
Stay current with medical terminology, physiology knowledge, anatomy fundamentals, and pulmonology advancements to ensure the highest standards of care.
Requirements
Valid certification as a Respiratory Care Practitioner or equivalent credential recognized by relevant health authorities.
Proven experience in hospital medicine environments with exposure to emergency medicine, critical care (ICU), and long term care
Demonstrated proficiency in airway management techniques and ventilator troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, pulmonology concepts, and medical terminology relevant to respiratory therapy.
Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics and geriatrics in inpatient or outpatient settings.
Ability to perform patient assessments accurately by evaluating vital signs and respiratory function under pressure during acute care situations.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is a plus.
