Position Summary: Must be able to work 2:30 - 11pm & 11 pm to 8:30 am and every other weekend!
Also must be available for all in case of any call outs that can't be covered. 7-3 , 3-11 , & 11-7.
The Residential Support Manager oversees the daily operations of our DDA-licensed group homes in St.Marys , ensuring services are delivered in accordance with Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) regulations, COMAR standards, and person-centered principles. This role ensures individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities receive quality care and support in a safe, respectful, and home-like environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision
Report directly to office administrator & Directors assistant
Assist monitoring staff performance for office administrator reviews of all support staff & CMT's
Ensure staff compliance with required trainings (e.g., CPR/First Aid, MANDT, Medication Administration).
Must fill in any open shifts & call outs office administration is unable to find coverage for.
Resident Care:
Ensure implementation of Person-Centered Plans (PCPs). Behavior Plans of applicable.
Oversee medication administration and healthcare appointments.
Advocate for residents' rights, preferences, and dignity.
Address behavioral, emotional, and health-related concerns promptly.
Report to office administration
Operations Management:
Maintain compliance with DDA, COMAR, and licensing requirements.
Ensure accurate documentation (MARs, progress notes, incident reports, etc.).
Manage household budget and petty cash.
Ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of the home.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct routine audits and participate in internal and external inspections.
Respond to incidents and implement corrective actions.
Participate in on-call rotation for emergencies.
Communicates with admin team & attending meetings when necessary
Report to office administration at all times to keep an open line of communication. Request meetings with the Director when needed.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Psychology, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a DDA residential setting.
Must be able to work 3 pm to 11 pm & 11 pm to
8: 30am & every other weekend
Must be available for any open shifts & call outs , office admin can't cover. All shifts 7-3 , 3-11 , over nights.
Supervisory experience required.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid Maryland driver's license with clean driving record.
Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration required (or ability to obtain).
Must be able to effectively communicate.
