Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our residential recovery facility. The Residential Supervisor will work closely with residents, staff, and leadership to maintain an environment that is safe, structured, and supportive of recovery. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure that all programs and services align with our mission, values, and certification requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily operations of the residential facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and supportive environment for all residents.
Provide direct supervision to residential staff, including scheduling, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
Monitor and assess residents' progress in their recovery and provide individual or group support as needed.
Facilitate group meetings, recovery planning sessions, and goal-setting activities in alignment with program standards.
Ensure full compliance with all DMHA certification, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
Manage incident reports, resident concerns, and grievances promptly and professionally.
Assist with the intake, orientation, and transition of new residents, ensuring clear communication of program expectations and available resources.
Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation, attendance, progress notes, and required reports.
Foster a positive, respectful, and recovery-focused community environment by addressing behavioral issues and promoting healthy interpersonal interactions.
Collaborate with external partners, providers, and community resources when necessary.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training to maintain knowledge of recovery best practices.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in behavioral health or social services preferred.
Peer Recovery Certification through MHA or DMHA required
Computer proficiency and experience using electronic documentation systems.
Certification or experience in addiction recovery, mental health services, or related fields is a plus.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience, ideally in a residential, treatment, or recovery setting.
Strong knowledge of recovery principles, mental health conditions, addiction, and trauma-informed care.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting individuals in their recovery journey.
Ability to manage crises, de-escalate conflicts, and make sound decisions under pressure.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass background checks and drug screening as required.
Work Schedule
Full-time position; may require evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation depending on program needs.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
Ability to go up and down stairs.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs if needed.
Comfortable working in a residential environment with varying levels of activity.
