Residential Remodeling Designer

Blackdog Builders is looking for a seasoned Residential Architectural Designer who understands New England architecture to join our growing team as a Design Consultant.

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in both residential design/build work as well as residential Kitchen and Bath design.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation

• The compensation during the 6-month training is a bi-weekly salary based on your experience.
• On completion of training, the compensation structure for this position will be more commission driven.
• Experienced and successful Blackdog Design Consultants have earned in excess of $150,000 annually!

Responsibilities:

• Consult with clients and manage leads provided to you
• Using your excellent communication skills, navigate clients through the process of purchasing remodeling projects from us
• Work with the production team to effectively transition projects from the design/sales phase to production
• Utilize CAD software to create plans, elevations, cabinet layouts, and 3D renderings

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of design experience in the residential marketspace

• (design/build and kitchen and bath design)
• Proficiency in CAD software

• (preferably Chief Architect)
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Highly detail-oriented and organized

Other Qualifications:

• Industry accreditations in the remodeling and/or kitchen and bath industry (CKD, CBD, CGR, etc)
• Ability to work independently, but also work well with others on the team
• Verifiable and stable sales experience
• Dependable and highly motivated
