Job Overview

Santa Ynez Valley Construction Company is seeking an experienced, hands-on Residential Build Superintendent to lead the on-site coordination and execution of production residential builds. From foundation to finish, you'll ensure every phase of construction meets our standards for craftsmanship, safety, and schedule. Responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule all phases of residential construction with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers Maintain daily job site operations, ensuring alignment with project plans, specifications, safety protocols, and timelines Oversee and inspect work quality; manage corrections and punch lists promptly Communicate daily progress, concerns, and updates with Project Manager Administer, update, and maintain construction schedules using project management tools Conduct and manage inspections from governing agencies and ensure code compliance Ensure the job site is clean, organized, and safe at all times Manage jobsite documentation, including scheduling, field reports, and photo records Build positive, professional relationships with homeowners, trades, vendors, and engineers Track material usage and manage orders, deliveries, and returns efficiently Participate in buyer/customer meetings, orientation walkthroughs, and warranty reviews Manage all customer service needs during the first year after completion

Experience

3+ years experience in residential construction with broad trade knowledge Strong ability to manage schedules, subcontractors, and suppliers in a fast-paced field setting Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and smartphone-based photo documentation Skilled in reading blueprints, scopes, and construction documentation Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to adapt quickly, multitask, and resolve issues on the fly Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license required-must be able to transport materials as needed Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and fluent in English Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and use power tools when required
