POSITION SUMMARY



This role is essential to our Choice Neighborhood Implementation Grant and Resident Opportunity and Self Sufficiency (ROSS) Grant Program, both of which are innovative initiatives designed to improve the lives of Lewiston residents and future generations. As a Resident Success Coach, you will be a key partner in empowering individuals and families by providing resources and coaching support to help them achieve their personal and economic goals.

The Resident Success Coach is a key partner working with the community, neighborhood partners, and Public Housing and/or Choice Target households. Through individualized coaching and strategic partnerships, the Resident Success Coach plays a critical role in connecting residents to vital services, employment opportunities, and educational resources, while addressing barriers that may prevent them from reaching their full potential.

DUTIES



Lead resident intake processes, including orientation, motivational interviewing, and comprehensive psycho-social assessments. Works with and maintains close contact with other CHOICE Neighborhood, ROSS partners and community resource agencies to ensure seamless coordination of services. Provide services that empower client and family system to utilize and build their strengths, resources, and support to meet goals as independently as possible. Work independently and effectively manage resident contact, including the scheduling of resident appointments, meetings and office time for completion of required paperwork. Conduct quarterly and annual assessments as required by the program, ensuring that all data is accurately recorded and meets program guidelines. Manage a caseload of at least 50 households annually, ensuring consistent contact and follow-up to meet program objectives. Meet with enrolled households monthly to review and update Individual Service Plans (ISPs), ensuring that they remain relevant and aligned with resident goals. Accurately record data in client management software at the time of each assessment, ensuring compliance with program standards. Actively participate in community outreach efforts, attending neighborhood meetings, events, and working groups to stay informed on community needs, trends, and services, while promoting the program. Assist in the preparation of program reports, analyzing resident outcomes, service effectiveness, and identifying areas for improvement or expansion within the program to ensure continuous growth and impact. Facilitate and encourage community engagement at assigned properties by organizing resident meetings, events, and workshops that promote social connection, collaboration, and a sense of belonging among residents. Foster a positive, inclusive environment. Solicit and incorporate feedback from residents to continuously improve the services and programs offered, ensuring they remain resident-centered and adaptive to changing needs. Develop individualized plans of care that reflect resident preferences and goals. Meet with residents regularly to assess progress toward their goals, providing ongoing support and adjusting care plans as needed to ensure success.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES



Four-year college degree in social work, social services, or equivalent experience required Two years' experience working directly with clients or community agencies preferred Working knowledge of community resources available to youth, adults, New Mainers, elderly, people who are unhoused, and/or disabled Competency in MS Office and relevant databases and software Customer focus and experience working with marginalized populations Interpersonal savvy with solid communication skill Well organized and excellent time management skills Multilingual preferred
