Job Description

CRM is a faith-based, non-profit organization serving the homeless in our community. The security

position is primarily responsible for the safety and security of the campus, responding to emergencies,

and maintaining a safe environment for the residents we serve. Ensures all facilities are appropriately

secure and residents maintain curfews, as well as keep all residents on task as they perform their own

responsibilities. The resident security is responsible for conducting emergency check-ins, completes

daily reports, and calls for emergency assistance when needed. This is a Safety Sensitive position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



Responsible for watching over individuals that have been checked into the shelter,
overseeing clients and monitoring for any emergencies or problems that may arise

Responsible for watching over the property, handling any visitors, donations, and calls, and
reporting any emergencies with the property (electricity goes out, air conditioning goes out,

etc.)

Responsible for property being secured, gates locked and shut. Responsible for managing meal times and activities Responsible for ensuring all clients are in by curfew. Responsible for to ensure that clients are following the rules of the mission that are given
to each person

Responsible for ensuring that the property is clear of loitering Responsible for contacting the police when necessary. Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements, Skills & Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent diploma Pass a Criminal Background Check and Drug Screen Possession of a current State-issued Driver's License and clean MVR Basic computer skills Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills Exemplary Customer Facing, Customer Service Skills, and willingness to serve the Community Ability to prioritize effectively, handle multiple tasks, flexible to change in pick-ups/route, Must be able to pass a drug screening.

weekends, and holidays as needed

Minimum of 1-3 years working with vulnerable and marginalized populations and a minimum of
six (6) months of security experience.

Ability to be firm while maintaining empathy and care. Ability to remain alert and pay attention to
details for long periods of time.

Work Environment:



This position works primarily in an office setting with frequent exposure to the outdoor elements.

This position cannot be performed remotely.

Physical Demands and Mental Competencies:



While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to sit, operate hand and foot controls while driving, hear, see, talk, and have quick reactions. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $13.50 per hour
