Job Summary

Henry Hagen Residence is seeking caring, dependable Resident Counselors (Direct Care) to support adults with developmental disabilities in a small, calm, and welcoming group home located just 10 minutes south of Hastings, MN.

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus--but not required. We provide paid, ongoing training and a supportive team environment.

Location

: In-person, 19845 Lillehei Ave, Hastings MN 55033

Status:

Part-time (15-30 hours per week)

Schedule:

Flexible with a variety of shifts available:

6:00 AM - 2:00 PM 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM Weekdays and weekends available

Pay

: Starting $18.00/per hour

Responsibilities

:

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including: Personal hygiene and self-care Cooking and healthy living skills Community outings and recreational activities Medication dispensing per program procedures Meal preparation Laundry assistance Light housekeeping Transport residents using a company vehicle Support residents in working toward individualized goals and document progress accordingly Maintain thorough and timely documentation of resident behaviors, needs, and any notable changes.. Supports and participates in common teamwork: Cooperates and works together with all co-workers; plan and complete job duties with minimal supervisory direction, including appropriate judgment. Will coordinate with on-call administrative personnel regarding any non-emergency situations. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous experience working in a behavioral health setting is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively independently. Shows compassion and truly enjoys supporting people. Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding resident information and adhere to ethical standards. Must be able to pass a background check.
