Residence Counselor

Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. is hiring a Residence Counselor for its Community Residence. Hours:

Respite, as needed hour work week, Monday through Friday

Requirements for the Residence Counselor:

A high school diploma or equivalent

A valid NYS Driver's License is required for most positions.

Successful clearance by the Justice Center and New York State Office of Children and Family Services Statewide Central Register Database Check is also required.

Responsibilities for the Residence Counselor include

:

Establish and maintain good rapport and therapeutic relationship with residents.

Aid and encourage residents to meet the established goals of their service plans.

Encourage resident decision-making.

Provide advocacy services as applicable, regarding applications for benefits, medical services, and clinical services.
