Responsibilities:

Perform cell culture experiments for development of cell biology research, product development, technical product support, and/or process improvements. Works on problems of difficult scope in which analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors Exercises judgment within general defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action Performs various common chemical/biological assays, but may develop assays. Performs data analysis and experimental design. Prepares formal reports and presentations. Actively participate in group/project meetings Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications Maintain Good Laboratory Practices, Procedures, and documentation. Assist in troubleshooting equipment and experimental problems.

Required Skills/Education:

Ph.D., M.S., or B.S. in a Biological/Chemical Science or related field required. 2 years or less of industry experience for Ph.D. candidates Qualified M.S. and B.S. candidates should have at least 6 years of industry or academic experience Ability to use professional concepts, company's policies, and procedures to perform a wide range of assigned work and solve complex problems Ability to demonstrate potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent though Advanced knowledge of Cell Culture, Chemistry, and Biochemistry. Advanced knowledge of basic laboratory equipment (scales, pH meters, etc.) Knowledge of commonly used experimental/research concepts, practices, and procedures. General knowledge of computer systems and productivity software. General knowledge of project management. General knowledge of GMP and GLP procedures. Bioreactor knowledge a plus Ability to speak, write and read English fluently. Good oral and written communication skills.

Salary and Benefits:

For California, the base salary range for this position is $ 82,353- $107,363 annually. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.). Medical, Dental, Vision Life Insurance 401k Paid Time Off #LI-onsite
