Staff member of the Metabolomics Core Facility who will serve primarily as a data scientist. Will analyze mass spectrometry data for core facility users and contribute to the development of a mass spectrometry (MS)-based data analysis pipeline. The Research Scientist will also assist with composition of manuscripts and grant applications.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
MS data analysis:
Process mass spectrometry data for core facility user projects; perform data normalization, statistical analysis, pathway analysis, generate final reports.
Draft and submit manuscripts for scientific publication. Work with PI to edit, revise, submit, and repeat the process as necessary.
Contribute to the development of an automated metabolomics data analysis pipeline for the Metabolomics Core Facility through collaboration with bioinformaticians, statisticians, software engineers and other team members.
Required: PhD in one of the natural sciences or related field or Medical degree.
Required: With PhD, no experience required. With Medical degree, two years of experience in experimental or scientific work.
