Position Summary

Conduct research

Primary Duties & Responsibilities Fossett Lab
  • Maintain existing augmented reality software for Microsoft Hololens, iOS, and Android devices.
  • Work with instructors throughout WUSTL Arts and Sciences to incorporate augmented reality into their teaching and research programs.
  • Assist in outreach activities through the Fossett Lab.
  • Supervise undergraduate researchers.
  • Manage billing and recharge center operations, and other administrative functions as needed.
PDS Node
  • Assist with transition of mission archive data from PDS3 to PDS4 archiving standard for NASA Odyssey, MRO, and MSL missions.
  • Support the CLPS (Commercial Lunar Payload Services)-PDS archive portal activities for science instrument leads.
  • Work with the Mars 2020 mission and NASA Mars Sample Return program in development of PDS archive of sample collection inventory data and documentation as well as implementation within node discoverability tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Earth and Planetary Sciences or a related field.
  • Experience with data visualization; augmented or virtual reality; programming in Unity.
  • Experience with Azure cloud storage and computing.
  • Strong written, presentation, and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent time and task management skills.
  • Comfortable maintaining several projects at once, including design, deployment, and ongoing operations support.
  • Ability to work independently, accurately, and proactively.

Required Qualifications

Candidates with prior experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics and/or cell biology with at least a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree are encouraged to apply.
