Provide clinical coordinator support to the Vaccine Testing Center (VTC) team to facilitate efficient operation of clinical infectious disease research and clinical trials. Monitor subject enrollment, recruitment and scheduling of visits for multiple clinical trials, including close coordination with recruiters for advertising and scheduling. Assign work to clinical assistant(s) as appropriate. Interact with study volunteers, University of Vermont Medical Center clinicians and research staff, sponsor representatives, and laboratory staff. Support the preparation and management of study-specific and regulatory documents. Collect, maintain and report data from clinical research studies. Perform data entry, QA/QC and data analysis, maintaining the highest standards of Good Clinical Practice. Prepare data and safety reports and presentations on a monthly and semi-annual basis.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor's degree with scientific background and one to three years related experience required. Effective time management and organizational skills required. Exposure to clinical settings or clinical research required. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database applications and internet resources required. Effective written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to pay close attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy required. Trained in Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (GCP) or ability to obtain required. Sound judgment in solving problems, prioritizing work tasks, and communicating with internal and external collaborators.
Desirable Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and with study subjects in a clinical research environment highly desirable. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Windows highly desirable.
Anticipated Pay Range
$21.58/hr - $24/hr
