Job Summary:
Research Financial Analyst provides financial and analytical support for clinical research budgeting and billing. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing clinical study operational budgets, conducting charge segregation to determine appropriate billing sources (insurance vs. sponsor), and ensuring compliance with Medicare and institutional billing policies. The role requires close collaboration with research teams and billing staff to optimize reimbursement, support split billing processes, and ensure accurate claims submission with proper codes and clinical trial identifiers. The position also involves identifying inefficiencies in billing and revenue collection workflows and recommending process improvements to enhance revenue cycle performance.
Education & Experience
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of financial, reimbursement, or analytical experience.

Clinical research experience preferred.

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate account management. Familiarity with research accounting software.
Responsibilities:Reviews and interprets Medicare Coverage Analyses, corresponding protocols, and other applicable documents for Budget and charge reconciliation .
Works closely with study teams and Clinical Research Finance teams to address financial inquiries and support study-related financial management through regular meetings and communications.
Partners with key stakeholders in Clinical Research Accounting to enhance revenue collection.
Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher level Clinical Research Budgets Office team members.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate account management.
Familiarity with medical billing accounting software.
Process and manage accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
Perform account reconciliations for clinical research studies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Effective communication skills for interacting with study teams, study sponsors, and other stakeholders.
