We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support our insurance brokerage team with in-depth research projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys diving into data, analyzing information, and providing clear, accurate summaries to help our brokers and teammates serve clients effectively.
You'll play a key role in supporting the team's operations by conducting targeted research on insurance-related topics, carriers, policies, and client needs -- ensuring that each project is handled with accuracy, clarity, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed research related to insurance products, markets, and client needs, using industry-based resources.
Gather, verify, and analyze data from multiple sources to support broker recommendations and client proposals.
Summarize and present findings in clear, organized reports for team members.
Assist teammates with specialized research projects that require additional depth or technical understanding.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all research and documentation.
Collaborate closely with the brokerage team to ensure research supports business goals and client outcomes.
Manage multiple ongoing projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
Help draft correspondence, communication materials and compliance notices as required.
Update Benefits Documentation: Revise the Employee Benefits Guide and At A Glance documents as needed.
Update Systems: Maintain accurate information in the Client Information System (CIS) or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, including policy details and client contacts.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical and research skills with excellent attention to detail.
Prior experience or familiarity with insurance, financial services, or a related field is preferred.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic data management tools.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work on-site during scheduled hours.
Schedule & Compensation:
Hours: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM EST (12-15 hours per week).
Pay Rate: $25 per hour.
Location: In-person position.
