We are looking for a Research Associate with experience in cell biology, immunology, biochemistry, or bioengineering. In this role, you will design, develop and execute cell-based assays to evaluate novel therapeutic molecules that will advance A2\xe2\x80\x99s innovative Tmod\xe2\x84\xa2 cell therapy platform towards the clinic. You will report to a scientist working as part of a collaborative, multifunctional team and benefit from cutting-edge scientific training, career growth, and publishing opportunities.

The successful candidate will join the Discovery Research group at our research facility in Agoura Hills, CA and work in a dynamic, fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Work with our scientists to design and perform immuno-oncology related cell-based experiments using our novel TmodTM cell therapy platform.
  • Work under supervisor\xe2\x80\x99s guidance, both independently and collaboratively, to implement novel laboratory processes, solve technical problems, and advance our cell therapy platform in a scientifically rigorous manner.
  • Analyze, document, and present experimental results to team and leaders.
  • Conduct routine maintenance of laboratory supplies and cell lines to move projects forward.
  • Stay familiar with current techniques used in the immunotherapy research field.
Requirements

Basic qualifications
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in science including biology, immunology, biochemistry, bioengineering or a related discipline
  • 1-2 years of relevant lab experience (including during studies)
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture required
Preferred qualifications:
  • Hands-on laboratory experience with cell culture (required), cell-based assays, flow cytometry and multiple immunological techniques; experience with molecular biology techniques will be useful
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work in a cross-functional and collaborative environment
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized with the ability to multitask around various projects
  • Proactive and enthusiastic team player who builds strong relationships with colleagues and partners.
  • Demonstrates scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
