Job Duties:

  • The Administrative Specialist II provides services to remedy abuse, neglect, exploitations or self-neglect of adults or children unable to protect themselves. Case Manager Assistants will assist Case Worker I's with providing case management services in the area of assessment, family preservation, and foster care.
  • Works collaboratively with child welfare staff in performing administrative tasks to support families and other professional/agency partners; task can include, facilitating referrals, written correspondence, records request, maintaining case records, family searches and transportation for visitation.
  • Collaborates with supervisors, case manager staff to transport children to and from visitation, placement, medical appointments, court hearings, and document work activity.
  • Assists with the transportation of children.
  • Provides or arranges transportation to resources in the community as a part of social service aide plan.
  • Assists with children in office and family visitations.
  • Assists with the completion of Foster Care Review Board packets, IV-E packets, Home Studies, ICPC packets and other administrative tasks.
  • Performs child welfare administrative services in accordance with DSS Policy, Agency Mission and GPS Practice Model.
  • Maintains an active routine of self-care and pursues support when necessary to minimize the threat of secondary trauma to physical and mental health. Authentically engages families and other professionals with empathy and respect.
  • Other related duties, as assigned.
A High School Diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a High School Diploma.
