Riedel Communications is seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented Repair Technician to join our North America Service & Support Team. This is an on-site position based in our US office in Santa Clarita, CA.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As a repair technician, you will be responsible for the repair of our products with a focus on the repair and testing of electronic assemblies and coordinating repair and testing procedures together with colleagues from the Technical Services Team at our headquarters in Wuppertal.

  • Repair, install, and inspect electronics or electronic systems as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications.
  • Maintain and make necessary operating adjustments to the organizations electronic systems.
  • Determine material or replacement needs and a logical method for repair; takes appropriate action to meet those needs and makes repairs.
  • Ensure local, state, and national electrical codes are followed and proper materials are used throughout electrical systems.
  • Independent systematic repair of electronic assemblies (also SMD)
  • Independent error analysis and its correction
  • Recreating customer problems
  • Continuous training and familiarization with new products
  • You will work at our location in Santa Clarita, CA
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
  • Associates degree in Electronics.
  • Electronic Technician certification or comparable certification or licensure.
  • Successfully completed technical training (e.g. radio/television technician, electronics technician for devices and systems, electrical engineer, communication/information electronics technician or comparable)
  • 1+ year of professional experience
  • Experience in dealing with circuit diagrams as well as systematic troubleshooting.
  • Good soldering skills
  • Knowledge of analogue and digital audio and video technology preferred.
  • A strong service and customer orientation as well as an independent way of working
  • Willingness to expand your expertise.
  • Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to follow highly complex directions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Ability to distinguish various colors of wires and distinguish electronic system sections and wiring.
  • Fluent English

Salary range for this position ranges from $40,000-$75,000 annually, depending on qualifications and relevant experience.
