Overview:

Bachmann Industries is a small company seeking a permanent, full-time Repair Technician. This position requires the applicant to be computer proficient. A knowledge of model trains and the hobby industry is a plus. Full-time in-office requirement.

Essential Functions and Duties:

Repair and replace model trains as well as turntables, turn-outs and other various controllable accessories including some rolling stock. Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues. Knowledge of basic electrical circuits, electronic boards, and basic soldering are required. Knowledge of DCC equipment operations is a plus. Knowledge and experience with "three rail" equipment is a plus. Ability to handle customer service needs with a positive, patient, and friendly manner, utilizing good interpersonal skills. Clearly articulate (both written and oral) with customers and coworkers. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds Perform other job-related duties and special projects as needed.

Requirements:

Phone etiquette and excellent communication skills are required. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Dependable and punctual.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
