SteadyMD has partnered with an innovative genetic testing company that provides genetic cancer screening and genetic counseling. Genetic counselors working with this program will receive lab results and provide a live review with patients that have a positive result, family history of cancer, or with questions in general. Genetic counselors will review the patient\xe2\x80\x99s family history, provide risk assessments, give recommendations related to genetic testing, explain the implications of test results for different family members, and support the patient in their decisions.

This is an hourly contract position. You will be compensated $60/session (sessions are 40 minutes total, including video with patient and pedigree/charting time) and guaranteed pay if you are not scheduled to see a patient.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct 40-minute scheduled remote consultation visits with patients
• Must be available for at least 5 hours/week to see patients
• Provide culturally reflective services that are individualized to client needs and reflect the integration of race, ethnicity, culture, primary language, immigration status, sexuality, age, and gender
• Cultivate an environment of trust and compassion between patients and providers
• Collaborate with other SteadyMD clinicians

• Masters Degree in Genetic Counseling
• Board Certification by the Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC)
• Pharmacogenetics (PGx), hereditary cancer, and cardiology experience required
• 3+ years of experience in clinical genetics and/or diagnostic laboratory preferred
• Current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice as a genetic counselor in at least 20 states

• State licenses preferred: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington, Wyoming
• Observe, abide by and conform to all laws, customs, and practices of the genetic counselor profession in the areas served by SteadyMD
• Abide by prevailing national and state professional and ethics standards, including but not limited to the National Society of Genetic Counselors and the American Telemedicine Association
