We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Freight Broker Agent to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing freight shipments, building strong customer relationships, and coordinating transportation solutions across various supply chain networks. This position offers the flexibility of working remotely while contributing to the efficient movement of freight through effective account management and sales strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of transportation management systems, logistics sales, and supply chain operations to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage freight shipments using transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and vendors to ensure consistent service quality.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with shippers and carriers to optimize profit margins.
Manage carrier relationships, including dispatching and carrier sales activities, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations when applicable.
Oversee transportation planning, dispatching, and logistics sales to meet customer needs efficiently.
Handle data entry related to shipments and contracts in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) software.
Provide exceptional customer relationship management by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally.
Requirements
Knowledge of transportation/logistics helpful but not necessary.
Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills necessary.
Must be self motivated and be able to multi-task.
Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry and dispatching activities.
Excellent communication skills for customer relationship management and negotiation purposes.
