As we open our doors, we are seeking

experienced Relief Emergency Veterinarians

who want to be part of something new, meaningful, and well-supported--without the burnout and red tape that often come with corporate ER medicine.

Position Overview



We are looking for skilled, confident, and collaborative

Relief DVMs

to support our emergency service during opening and beyond. You'll be working alongside talented LVTs, assistants, and CSRs who are passionate about high-quality medicine, clear communication, and outstanding patient care.

Our relief doctors can expect well-paced scheduling, strong medical support, and a stable team environment that prioritizes efficiency, compassion, and clinician well-being.

Responsibilities



Perform emergency examinations, diagnostics, and medical decision-making Manage stabilization, treatments, and emergency procedures Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients during high-stress situations Collaborate closely with LVTs and support staff Utilize hospital protocols and keep detailed medical records Maintain professionalism and positivity in a busy emergency setting Provide exceptional patient care and uphold the hospital's medical standards

Requirements



Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree Active Virginia veterinary license (or eligibility prior to start) Emergency medicine experience required (GP with strong ER skills considered) Ability to perform emergency diagnostics and basic emergency procedures Excellent communication and client-service skills Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced or acute situations Positive, team-oriented attitude and a strong commitment to patient care Comfortable with overnight, evening, or weekend shifts if desired
